Akshay is responsible for sourcing, executing and supporting investments, with a focus on Consumer. He is actively involved with Stripes portfolio companies Siete Family Foods, Erewhon Market and The Black Tux.
Prior to joining Stripes in 2018, Akshay served as a venture fellow for two years at Rough Draft Ventures – General Catalyst’s early-stage fund that backs founders at the university level. Before that, Akshay was a fellow at Foundation Capital and spent a summer interning at Supernode Ventures. While at school, he co-founded & served as president of Carnegie Mellon’s venture capital group, Scottie Ventures.
Akshay was born and raised in New Jersey. He loves exploring New York City and is an avid traveler, foodie and programmer. He is also on the junior board of the Children’s Scholarship Fund – a national non-profit that provides scholarships to low-income children K-8.
