Tomer is a senior advisor focusing on supporting Stripes' portfolio in Israel. He serves as the COO of Melio, a Fintech company providing payment solutions to small businesses. He is mostly interested in the current wave of scaling of Israeli tech companies, as well as more broadly in financial and blockchain technologies.
Previously, Tomer was the COO of Novi (now called Meta Fintech), the payments and financial services arm of Meta, and is the co-creator of Diem (previously known as Libra). Earlier on he played various executive roles in PayPal, including the company's Chief Risk Officer and head of Global Operations. He is also an ex-consultant in Mckinsey & Co. and served for 13 years in the Israeli military.
Tomer is passionate about wine creation, and grows his own vineyard in northern Israel, near the town of Yokneam.
