Brigitte Kleine

Brigitte is an Operating Partner focusing on branded consumer businesses in fashion and retail. She is currently the CEO and Board Member of KHAITE, an American luxury womenswear brand and Stripes portfolio company, and is also a board member at Stripes portfolio companies Reformation and Shibumi.

Before joining Stripes, Brigitte served as the President of Tory Burch, growing the company alongside its founder from one location in NYC into a global brand powerhouse with $1.2 billion profitable revenue growth and distribution spanning company-owned retail stores and e-commerce, luxury and specialty retailers, etailers, and licensing. Brigitte helped build a highly approachable, resonant brand that organically attracted profitable partnerships and top industry talent while forging deep, authentic consumer engagement and brand loyalty.

Previously as President of Michael Kors and Alexander McQueen, Brigitte guided the evolution and growth of these two luxury brands while leading effective, capital-efficient operations and optimizing the supply chain. Earlier in her career as President of International and Licensing at Donna Karan, Brigitte built the business and fueled exponential growth in the global marketplace for Donna Karan and DKNY across women’s and men’s apparel and accessories.

Brigitte also serves on the board of Khaite, a NYC-based women’s luxury house. She is a strategic advisor and mentor to founders and CEOs at multiple companies across the fashion, wellness, and retail tech industries.

Brigitte lives in New York City with her husband, Robert, son, Luca, and their dog, Pluto. During her free time, Brigitte enjoys being active outdoors and especially loves hiking, swimming, and skiing.
